Orders

It had been several days since the people of Konoha noticed the strange red star hovering in the sky as well as the equally as strange dark doorway. Many people had went to the Hokage seeking answers, but she had none to give. It had been suggested that there was some kind of genjutsu that did this. However, when scouts were sent out, that was proven wrong when the ‘jutsu‘ failed to release. It was all anyone could do to watch and wait.

Neena had never been good at watching or waiting on anyone, let alone situations what were out of her control. Her morning jog led her straight to the Hokage’s office; just as intended. The redhead hesitated even before entering the building. Naturally, the Hokage didn’t even have information on this, whatever it was that was happening. The best that Neena could do would be to offer to check into it.

Slowly, she made her way up to the office on the next floor. Sure, she didn’t want to wait to learn what she could. Since it was impossible to act at this moment, she used this time to think. If this wasn’t a genjutsu or a ninjutsu, it had to be real. This had to be something that appeared or was released over night.

When she reached the door, the violet eyed ninja took a deep breath. Tsunade would be in a crappy mood for sure. This had to be done. There was no use waiting for her mood to magically alter improve. Neena knocked on the door. As she waited, she realized that her muscled had tensed up and she was holding her breath. It was silly to be nervous about talking to the Hokage. She was just another ninja who had reached a level of experience that made her capable of taking the position. It’s not like she was scary or anything.

Tsunade’s day was not going well at all. She was woke up early in the morning from a good dream by the elders. After she was woke up, after she had spent a late night working on paperwork, she was informed that there were not one but two possible unidentified threats that had appeared over night. The first was a strange red star that was very clearly visible from her office window. The second was a strange dark gateway just outside the village.

Word had already been sent to the Kazekage, and his people had confirmed what was discovered outside Konoha was also just outside of their own village. It was just her luck that something like this would happen when most of her reliable jounin were out on missions. She couldn’t even spare a genin at this point. Sighing, she removed a list from her desk and reviewed it one more time. There was one she could send, but something like this might be too much for her alone. Taking into account her weakness, this could easily be too dangerous of a mission for the ninja she had in mind.

A knock on her door jarred the blond from her not so pleasant thoughts. “What?!” She called out harshly, not caring who was on the other site of the door. The Hokage didn’t have time to talk to people and assure them she would handle this, she needed to be handling this. Perhaps she should send one of her own ANBU to explore the gateway.
